The ACS calendar year runs from June1 - May 31. If a player or team is interested in participating in an ACS event, simply register and pay the required entry fees and travel expenses on your own. You must be in good standing with ZR8 (no late fees, no unsportsmanlike conduct write ups, etc.) and have the required minimum amount of weeks played that the event requires. Players will NOT have to play in multiple levels of qualifier tournaments to qualify to participate in an ACS event. Our league players will also be sanctioned with the American Cue Sports (ACS) and be eligible to participate in all of the events listed below. Players that players that play in the Singles Format divisions are eligible for the same benefits as those playing in a Team Format division. This is a great format to introduce ZR8 League to new areas and to also allow players to get ACS sanctioned if they prefer to play alone than in a team environment. These are ACS sanctioned and the weekly fees may differ than the Team Format. Matches on a 1 player vs 1 player, 5 games, ball count and handicapped. We also offer the same great benefits as the Team Format, but in a Singles Format. This event will have ADDEND MONEY based on overall participation.Īt the end of each session we will have a league banquet with awards, announcements and a Singles Tournament for the players.
Each MVP will receive a free entry fee in this event. Doubles, Scotch Doubles and other singles events will be scheduled throughout the sessions as well.Īt the end of each year we will have a tournament for all of the top 2 players on the MVP list from each division from both Spring and Winter sessions. We have a Singles event and an All -Star event as wells as a Session Team Championship (STC) for each of the Spring and Winter sessions. Each Division Play-Off will be split into two (2) divisions, Division A consisting of the top 50% of teams and Division B consisting of bottom 50% of teams in the division. Regular session receives 90% of the payout and the Play-Offs receive 10% of payout. Including ACS Illinois State, Regional and Nationals in Las Vegas without going through a local qualifying process with multiple entry fees and tournaments.Įach session will have a Regular session payout and a Play-Offs payout at the end of the session. ZR8 is sanctioned with the American CueSports Alliance (ACS) and our players have the opportunity to participate in ALL ACS sanctioned events.
Three (3) of the four (4) must be AMATEUR (Open or Standard ACS) skill level players and the fourth player may be AMATEUR, ADVANCED, MASTER or PRO skill level. Teams have up to 8 players on their roster, but only 4 will play each weekly match. We feel that it removes the desire for players to sandbag and encourages them to want to improve their skill level. W run around a 16 week regular session schedule and about 3 weeks of play offs with 90% of payout going to regular session and 10% going to play offs. We have many divisions available to play in, both traveling and in house, with divisions divided by small geographical areas, allowing the players a shorter distance of travel on a weekly basis.Ī unique handicap and scoring system is used to calculate individual and team standings. Our sessions fall in line with the ACS calendar year. We have three session per year Spring, Summer, and Winter. We take pride in having an accurate and fair handicap system with multiple tiers to help create a more even playing field for all skill levels. Zim's Rack 8 Ball League (ZR8) was formed in 2005 to offer a fair, more rewarding league for players and bar owners.
